Halloween

This is something that hubby and I have been debating even before Aidan was born.. Fighting baack and forth between religious convictions but yet wanting our children to do the normal things that other children do. We finally decided to let them be kids and have the fun of costumes and trick-or-treating.

So, yesterday we put the kids costumes on and took them to a Halloween Party. There were treats and games and they had a ball... and mom forgot her camera...grr

Today, Aidan decided that he wanted to "be the punkin" and since Brady could have cared less, we decided to switch their costumes. It was nicer weather (as far as Halloweens past) and we decided to take them around to a few of our neighbor's houses. True to their personalities, Brady walked right up to people and stuck his treat bag in their face while Aidan hung back and it took some persuading to get him to the door(as you see in one of the pictures). But once he found out that candy was involved, he was all into it!

Cutest pumpkin and clown that I've ever seen!

Aidan....

... is now three years old.
-he is about 27 inches and 24 pounds (was at three year check-up)
- he wears size 3T, even though some 24 month clothes still fit him.
- he wears a size 7 shoe

- he started pre-school last month at the Christian pre-school in our city. He goes Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:00-12:00 and is loving it. Although he never cried, he was nervous, shy, and unsure about it at first. On the first day when I dropped him off, he latched on to his teacher's hand and wouldn't let go- all day. He now walks right in and starts playing... his favorite... puzzles.

- yesterday, he had a party at school and my mom went and helped out and took these pictures:

One of my favorite pictures of Aidan.... checking out his costume.

I made the cake for the school party.

Brady...

...is now nearly two years old.

- he is VERY short (maybe more like a 15 month old)
- he wears a size 18 month pants
- 18-24 month shirts
- size 5 shoes

- he doesn't talk a whole lot at all. In fact, I had him tested through our city's early childhood intervention program in July and he qualified for sppech therapy services. So, he has one on one therapy twice a week (Tuesday and Thursdays) for a half hour. He still only says one word at a time but has improved a good deal on recognition of spoken language and following directions.

- his favorite toys and books are anything to do with Thomas the Tank Engine, which he calls "choo-choo."

I love this picture! This is Brady and his cousin Tommy at Tommy's second birthday party.
